A Fusion of British and Brazilian Cultures
Paula and Simon discovered me through Bridebook, and from our first conversation, I could tell their wedding would be extraordinary. The couple’s vision was to celebrate their love while blending British wedding traditions with a lively Brazilian theme. With Paula’s family flying in from Brazil, the atmosphere was a beautiful mix of cultures, filled with music, energy, and heartfelt moments.
Stunning New Venue: Rivervale Barn
As a wedding photographer, discovering new venues is always exciting, and a Rivervale Barn wedding was no exception. Located in the heart of Hampshire, the barn’s elegant architecture and serene gardens provided the perfect backdrop for the day. Despite a stormy drive from Swindon and rain on arrival, the skies cleared after the ceremony, allowing us to explore the grounds for breathtaking couple photos between this beautiful couple.
The team at Rivervale Barn, including their amazing wedding planner, was exceptional. Their professionalism, friendliness, and relaxed approach made the day seamless, which always helps us photographers and videographers capture the best moments.
Unforgettable Highlights
What truly made this day special was how the Brazilian theme was woven into every part of the celebration. From an acoustic guitarist serenading guests during the ceremony to lively performances during dinner, the joy and energy were contagious. Guests couldn’t resist getting up to dance and sing between courses, bringing the room to life in a way I’ll never forget. Not to mention the incredible speeches by Simon, his best man and Paula’s mum getting the biggest cheer of the day!
The evening was equally magical. Paula & Simon’s first dance was followed by a surprise entrance from samba dancers in dazzling costumes. Their performance brought everyone to the dance floor for a conga line and hours of celebration. The bride and groom led the way, showing that nobody could resist the rhythm!
