Some weddings are unforgettable for their charm, heartfelt moments, and lively energy—and Megan & Nathan’s wedding at The Barn at Upcote in Gloucestershire on 15th August 2024 was all that and more. From emotional bridal reveals to unforgettable performances, this was a day filled with love, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime.

A Warm Welcome

Upon arriving at The Barn at Upcote, I was greeted by Megan’s lovely mum, who led me to the bridal suite. There, I met Megan and her bridal party. Megan’s relaxed vibe and northern sense of humor were a breath of fresh air, setting the tone for a fun and heartwarming day.

One of my favorite moments was Megan’s first look with her dad. As he waited outside the bridal suite, Megan stepped out to meet him. What followed was a perfect blend of emotional embraces and giddy laughter, capturing their unique father-daughter bond.

Groom and Friends

Nathan looked every bit the dashing groom in his military attire. Later, I learned that several guests, including Nathan, were military photographers. While this initially brought about a bit of laughter between them and myself considering the added pressure, their understanding and kind compliments on my work were truly appreciated. It was a privilege to meet such talented individuals.

A Ceremony to Remember

The ceremony was unforgettable, made even more special by Megan’s brother taking on officiant duties and her dad accompanying him on the piano. The emotional moments didn’t end there—Megan gave a beautiful rendition of Taylor Swift’s “Lover”, followed by Nathan and his mum leading the room in a spirited performance of Plymouth Argyle’s “Janner Song.” With a strong Welsh contingent in the audience, the atmosphere was electric, blending cultures and traditions into one seamless celebration.

Braving the Weather

Despite some heavy rain, Megan and Nathan were game for a photoshoot in the fields surrounding The Barn at Upcote. With umbrellas in hand, we captured some truly magical moments against the rustic countryside backdrop. The rain couldn’t dampen their spirits or the beauty of their day.

An Evening of Dancing

As the evening rolled on, the newlyweds and their families took over the dance floor, busting moves that kept the party alive late into the night. The energy was infectious, and capturing these moments of joy and connection was an absolute pleasure.
